"My Two Crazy Chickadees" by Julianne McKenna-De Lumen

Good morning and welcome to our Purple Pumpkin fans. Have you got your April sketch layout completed yet? You still have time. Entries close at the end of the month. Here's my take on the April sketch (it's a little late since I've just joined the team). But I believe late is better than never!!!

I had great fun using all my new Purple Pumpkin products. Hmm... maybe even too much fun. lol! I couldn't just stop with a few products - I wanted to add them all! I can count 10 Purple Pumpkin products on my page. Do you think that is too many??? :-)

I started with a crocheted doily, added a YoYo flower, a couple of crocheted flowers, and a bottle cap. But I wasn't happy with just that! There was much more fun to be had!!!

Did I mention that I have already made a HUGE dent in my Purple Pumpkin stash? I think I need to go shopping for more supplies..

I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the week. Don't forget to get your April sketch entries in - there are only two more days left. You don't have any Purple Pumpkin products? That's not  a problem - you can still enter the sketch challenge. So go ahead - we would love to see your creations.

Cheers, xxx

"Friends" by Karen Grose

Hello, hello to all the Purple Pumpkin fans.  Time again for me to share with you another LO I've created using some of the fantabulous PP embellishments !!!

This was a "just because" LO and it's very different to my usual style.  Firstly, there's pink on there and secondly, flowers !!  Very rarely will I use either of these 2 items :)

Anyway, here's my LO - "FRIENDS"

There's a couple of Purple Pumpkin embellishments hiding on here.  I've used one of the gorgeous Flair Buttons - Script , more of the ever so versatile Tickets, and another must have with the Flair Button - Spotty.  You might also see one of the super cute Resin Flowers hiding in amongst the color :)

Here is a close up of the cluster with all the color and fun of the Script Button, Tickets and Resin Flower.  All must haves in anyone's stash !!

And a close up of the Spotty Flair Button

I'm also going to show you a LO I created for the word challenge at Scrapbook Savvy.  I have blogged this already, but not all the PP fans may have seen it  :)

"BIG DREAMS"

I had fun creating this LO, using plenty of color, texture and of course, Purple Pumpkin embellishments.

On here you'll see that I've used the Flair Button - Chevron, Kraft Tags (another favourite) as well as Washi Tape - Loops Black.  On the Kraft Tag, I've distressed it with some ink and stamping.

If you pop on by my blog, I have a couple of close ups of the background and embellishments.  You can stop by HERE,  if you are interested to see how I work :) Would love you to visit.

Until next time.......happy scrapping

My Lovely Life! Layout by Helen Tilbury

Hi there Purple Pumpkin fans :-D  Hope this week is treating you well!  Helen HERE sharing my entry into the Once Upon a Sketch challenge this month, using lots of Purple Pumpkin product.

Can you spot all the goodies??  There are small, large & extra large covered buttons, a crochet doily flower, a resin flower (see top right), a ribbon flower (see centre), part of a craft tag & some twine

Can you see I had fun layering everything up?  I sure did!

When using your Purple Pumpkin fabric buttons a really cheap & easy thing you can do is repeat the circular shape with stamping.  Here I just dipped the core of a used tape roll into some brown ink to create the circle shape then added a bling dot to the edge of it.

Up top there I used part of a craft tag - which I inked then doodled.

That lovely coral coloured resin rose comes from Purple Pumpkin too!

The gorgeous ribbon rose is another Purple Pumpkin superstar, sadly no longer available, but I have linked you up to some super fancy ribbon flowers that are similar.

If you take a look at my blog today I have a post going up with a lot more information on how I created my background so if you are interested in that please pop in HERE and say HI!

"It's all about the cake"....by Karen Grose

Hello everyone !!  I'm excited to be sharing with you today my first "official" creation for Purple Pumpkin.    I created this LO for the current White with 1 challenge.  Pictures are from my youngest son's birthday party last year.

A few close ups.  Here I have used one of the Purple Pumpkin tags

And here, I've used a couple of Purple Pumpkin tickets to journal the event.  A must have in everyone's stash :)

To create my background, I used ink, mist, paint, water and texture paste.  Together with some stencilling, creates a bright and fun background.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope to see you all joining in our sketch challenge this month.

Until next time.....happy scrapping !!!

Hello there by Judith

Hello, it's Judith here to share a recent page I did for the Show us Your Stuff challenge. The challenge was to do a 8.5 x 11 page something I rarely do but I quite like how it turned out. This is a photo of my nephew Jack at 6 months. He is now 22! I found it whilst looking through some old photo albums and thought it would go great with the Take Noted range of patterned paper from Pebbles and with Purple Pumpkin embellishments.

Here are a couple of close ups of the Purple Pumpkin goodies I have used.

And here I have used a white/red spotty button. I also used some pieces of washi tape (you can just see the thick red striped tape in the top corner. I also used some aqua diamond washi tape.

Hope you have enjoyed looking at my page.

Have a great day! Judith xx

"Go Sharks" Layout by Helen Tilbury

Hi again Purple Pumpkin fans!  Helen here sharing my latest page with you - one I did especially for the challenge over at Challenge Me Happy - which currently is a sketch challenge.

I used some lovely bright pink tickets from the store HERE, as well as a bottle-top button & an XL spotty button.

I used papers from Dear Lizzy for American Crafts.  I love all the papers that Elizabeth Kartchner designs.  They are always bang on trend!

I used these black & white 'Flat' thickers as my page is about going to the rugby, and our local team is the Sharks (known all around the world I might add!!) & their colours are black & white!

I also used some small craft tags from the store HERE - they are so cute & great for layering up here & there.  I was testing a white pen on black cardstock so I cut out my scribble & used it as an embellishment :)

I used some Heidi Swapp mistable banners which I inked in black for another black & white embellishment.  I hope you've enjoyed taking a peek at my page.

Wishing you all a wonderful week!

I do hope that it contains some Purple Pumpkin Happiness!!

A Hello from Lisa!!

Hi Purple Pumpkin Fans!! I am so excited to be sharing my first post with all of you today!

My name is Lisa Wilkinson. I am married to a great guy and have six children who I am homeschooling.  I have been scrapbooking for over a dozen years and if you read my blog you will see my style has slowly evolved into what it is now... layered, lumpy, bumpy, misty, sewed on, with a lot of white space. It is "organized-messy".  I love to create traditional layouts, but I also spend much of my creative time working on my Project Life albums.

I am still waiting for my goodies to arrive so for today I am sharing a few of my favorite recent projects to show you how I will be using the amazing Purple Pumpkin buttons, flair and flowers.

"My Favorite"

Week 7 of Project Life 2013

and "Oh Yum"

So that gives you a peek inside my creative world. If you want to see more of my designs, feel free to check out my blog

I am so honored and blessed to be a part of this amazing design team and to have the joy of using Purple Pumpkin products! I cannot wait until my next post so I can share my very first designs with you!

Happy Creating!!

A big hello from Karen !!

Hi everyone, it's Karen here and I'm popping by to let you all know a bit about myself.

I live in Melbourne with my husband and 3 boys.  I've been scrapping since my youngest was born, nearly 7 years ago.  I've just started again after an 18 month break, and have found my mojo and loving the craft again.  My style is masculine, grungy and messy.  I love texture and my favourite products to use are stamps, inks, paint and mists.  You'll always find them on my LOs.

I'm still waiting for my DT pack to arrive, but had a couple of buttons in my stash, and here is my example of the the April sketch

On this LO I've used one of the Chevron Flair Buttons and one of the Flair Button - Stars.  I've created my background using a mask and texture paste, with splashes of ink and stamping.

And a close up of the Flair Button - Stars.  So versatile to use on any LO.

As I don't have any other LOs with PP embellishments to show just yet, here's a couple of my favourite LOs.  You'll see I love to get messy and grunge them up.

"JETSKI MASTER"

"LOVIN' THE BISCUIT"

"TIMES SQUARE"

Lots of paint, masking, stamping and ink on all of my work.  Just love how it completely alters the look of a LO, anything goes !!!

I don't create a lot of other crafty things.  Scrapping is my thing, but another hobby I have is baking and decorating cakes.  Only do this for family birthdays now.  Also enjoy watching football (especially my boys) and camping in the caravan.

If you're interested in seeing more of my work, please feel free to visit my blog

I'm thrilled to be a part of this fantastic team and can't wait to share my work and hopefully inspire you all.

Thanks for joining me today.  Keep an eye out for our next awesome DT member.

Until next time, happy scrapping

Karen
